A relatively inexpensive SUV will be presented next summer. It is assumed that the model will be offered with a one and a half liter «aspirated».
Mitsubishi has distributed teasers of the new crossover — this is the production version (well, or almost ready for production) of last year's Mitsubishi XFC concept. The world premiere of the latter was held in Vietnam, while the conveyor version will be presented at the Indonesian Motor Show, which will open in the first half of August. The name of the model has not yet been announced: the brand calls it simply Compact SUV. It is possible that the commercial SUV will be positioned as the next generation ASX (we don’t take into account the new ASX for Europe, because it is an almost 100% Renault Captur clone), or as a direct successor. By the way, on the Indonesian website of Mitsubishi, the letter X flaunts on the teaser.

Judging by the picture with a fragment of the front, the serial cross has retained the unusual optics of its predecessor, but the radiator grill has lost its mosaic pattern. Also, thanks to spy photos of test prototypes, we know that the luminous elements have been removed from the bumpers. Of course, the SUV received ordinary exterior mirrors (the camera concept), handles appeared on the doors. Crossover dimensions are still unknown. For comparison, the length of the current global Mitsubishi ASX is 4365 mm, the wheelbase is 2670 mm.

The interior has not yet been fully demonstrated, Mitsubishi only boasted that the crossover got a new audio system from Yamaha. Most likely, the commodity SUV inherited the scoreboard from the XFC show car, that is, the combined virtual tidy and touchscreen multimedia systems.
Not a word about technology. Some specialized media in Southeast Asia (it is this region that will become the main market for the novelty) have predicted a 1.5 petrol four-cylinder “aspirated” crossover for the crossover, all-wheel drive is still in doubt. At the same time, the SUV may also get a hybrid version later.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese and Indonesian Mitsubishi dealers are already accepting pre-orders for the yet-to-be-presented SUV. True, no prices yet.
