OMSK, May 31. Omsk investigators are investigating the circumstances of the accident, during which the driver of the shuttle bus choked on water, then rammed the car and knocked down a traffic police officer, Telegram reported — SUSK RF channel in the region.
The incident occurred on Melnichnaya Street in Omsk. According to sources in law enforcement agencies, the driver of shuttle bus No. 45 took a sip of water, then choked and lost control. He was not found to be intoxicated.
«The driver of a shuttle bus, having lost control, allowed a collision with a driver of a Volkswagen vehicle and a road patrol inspector standing at the side of the road» , — reported the press service of the investigative department.
«A police officer with a head injury, leg and arm bruises was hospitalized. The driver of the car was examined by doctors and released,» the police headquarters said.
The prosecutor's office took control of the circumstances of the accident.
