MOSCOW, May 31. CEC RF signed an agreement on information partnership with the international media group «Russia Today», the correspondent reports.
The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova and Director General of the international media group «Russia Today» Dmitry Kiselev.
«We have been striving for this for a long time, dreaming about it. And finally it has come true. The point is that the CEC is becoming even more transparent, the electoral process in Russia is even more transparent. And our media group will do everything to ensure that honestly present honest results of the elections, and at all stages of the election campaign,» Kiselev said.
He stressed that in the conditions when Russia is «demonized and soiled», the task of the media group is «to demonstrate its strength, which is true.
«We will never deal with fakes, we will never do anything we will adjust, because for us it does not make sense. We are who we are,” said the general director of the media group.
In turn, Pamfilova thanked the media group for understanding and striving to cooperate.
“We are very grateful. Now, perhaps, information wars, information battles are no less important than what is really happening at the front… There should be no falsehood. You are absolutely right. No fake. People should believe what happens in the elections. I think with your help,» said the head of the CEC of the Russian Federation.
