MOSCOW, Jun 5 The collective West uses green topics to achieve their goals, spinning anti-Russian hysteria, said the director of the department of international organizations of the Russian Foreign Ministry Petr Ilyichev.
«Unfortunately, what we are facing in the international arena gives us unpleasant impressions. First of all, the attempts of the United States, the EU and their satellites to use environmental and environmental issues to achieve their goals, unwinding anti-Russian hysteria,» — said Ilyichev at the session of the XIV International Forum «Ecology» in Moscow.
He noted that the West saturates various environmental international legal instruments with issues that are not on the agenda, for example, gender equality or human rights.
