
MOSCOW, June 9 Sergey Sobyanin will participate in the election of the mayor of Moscow as a candidate from United Russia, said Andrei Turchak, secretary of the General Council of United Russia, at the XXVlll conference of the Moscow city regional branch of the party.

As reported in the party's Telegram channel, delegates to the conference United Russia unanimously voted for Sobyanin's candidacy.
Turchak, in turn, recalled that the current mayor of Moscow joined United Russia in 2003, and in 2011 joined the Bureau of the Supreme Council.

The single day of voting this year is scheduled for September 10th. Sobyanin has been heading Moscow since October 21, 2010, he was twice re-elected to the post of mayor, running as an independent candidate.
