As reported in the party's Telegram channel, delegates to the conference United Russia unanimously voted for Sobyanin's candidacy.
Turchak, in turn, recalled that the current mayor of Moscow joined United Russia in 2003, and in 2011 joined the Bureau of the Supreme Council.

The single day of voting this year is scheduled for September 10th. Sobyanin has been heading Moscow since October 21, 2010, he was twice re-elected to the post of mayor, running as an independent candidate. Prior to that, he worked as Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Administration and Governor of the Tyumen Region.
