MOSCOW, June 9 State Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of literature and art for 2022 was awarded to the creators of the feature film «The Challenge» Klim Shipenko , Konstantin Ernst and Yulia Peresild, said Vladimir Tolstoy, adviser to the President of the Russian Federation on culture.

The State Prize is the highest recognition of the merits of scientists and culture figures before society and the state. It is the main Russian award, having inherited this name from the State Prize of the RSFSR in 1992. In addition to monetary rewards (since 2020, the prize has been doubled to 10 million rubles), the laureates receive a diploma, a badge of honor, and a tailcoat badge.
The Challenge is the first feature film shot in space on aboard the ISS. As part of the project, on October 5, 2021, the first film crew in history went into orbit: actress Yulia Peresild, director Klim Shipenko and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov. As part of the ground-based filming unit, 53 filming shifts took place, three of them in the Il-76 MDK zero-gravity laboratory aircraft. There were 12 shooting shifts on the ISS. It was released on April 20.
