Krasnodar was again left without a trophy. The day before, the project of Sergei Galitsky dramatically lost to CSKA in the superfinal of the Russian Cup. Sport understands what the owner needs to do for the sake of historical achievements.
Galitsky's idea of creating a football club came to fruition a little over 15 years ago. The project got off to a mixed start, as the Bulls were promoted twice on a non-sporting basis — the transition from the second division to the first and from the first to the premier league was due to the fact that competitors were not ready for a step forward in terms of finance. Simply put, if it were not for the material resources of the owner, the club would not have rushed from the PFL (Professional Football League, now the Second League — ed.) to the elite of our football in three years.
At first, «Krasnodar» was perceived by many with hostility — part of the fans, especially the local «Kuban», believed that the provincial nouveau riche was in the wrong place. But the “Kuban” left the Premier League pretty soon, and for a long time after that, the Krasnodar Territory represented only one club in the top division of the national championship. Perhaps the critics did not notice the opening of the club academy — the very one without which Krasnodar is now impossible to imagine, as well as without its pupils. For 13 years, Galitsky has been creating conditions for young football players that even some pros can envy.Despite all that Galitsky does for his club, Krasnodar has not won a single trophy. In the RPL, the team became third three times. The defeat from CSKA was her second in the finals of the Cup of the country — in 2014 Krasnodar lost to Rostov.So far, the businessman has the best academy and stadium in the country, as well as a park next to the arena, which has become a place of attraction for Krasnodar residents and guests of the city. Galitsky's direct football achievement, at least according to his own version, is the appearance of 11 pupils of the club academy in the starting lineup at once. On May 15 last year, the «bulls» beat the same CSKA on their own. But sports greatness requires titles — and without a change in approach, this will be extremely difficult to achieve.A couple of years ago, Galitsky, in an interview with Commentary Show, admitted that he was sick and, because of this, could not attend team matches to the extent necessary. Then he spoke about the work to ensure that the club and the academy were provided with a budget of 50-70 million dollars without him — it was planned that the board of directors and the supervisory board would be responsible for the functioning, and the banks would control the fulfillment of obligations. On paper, this sounds great, but in order for Krasnodar not to end up in Galitsky, he needs to choose the right people and delegate to them more issues that he sometimes dealt with personally before.

I wish Galitsky health and longevity, but one cannot ignore such signals. Moreover, in December last year, he was removed from the executive committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) for health reasons. In such a situation, you need to trust the management and coaches on whom the bet is placed more.
The owner of the club has already entered his name in the history of Russian football, and has also twice received the award «For Contribution to the Development of Football» from the RFU, but sports immortality outside of Krasnodar is impossible without titles. I sincerely want the «bulls» to please the owner of the club with the title in the new season!
