Elderly Perm woman set fire to neighbors car because of non-repayment of debt
In the Perm Territory, a pensioner set fire to her neighbors' car to remind them of an unpaid debt. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the department, the incident occurred in the Perm region. A 68-year-old woman came to the house of neighbors, near which their car was parked. She opened the gas tank hatch, put a rag soaked in solvent into it, and set it on fire.
The neighbor saw what was happening on the video surveillance camera. He managed to run up to the car and throw the blazing rags aside.
The pensioner herself said that in this way she wanted to remind the neighbors that they borrowed a large amount from her and did not return the money. It also turned out that at the time of the arson she was drunk.
As a result, a criminal case was opened against the pensioner for attempted destruction or damage to someone else's property. The woman faces up to five years in prison.
