NALCHIK, June 17 Three people died as a result of a foreign car falling into a cliff in the mountains in the Chegemsky district of Kabardino-Balkaria, the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
«On Saturday at about 13.00 (coincides with Moscow time — ed.) on the 19th kilometer of the Chegem Second — Bulungu highway at the entrance to the village of Nizhny Chegem, according to preliminary data, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz car lost control of the vehicle, a transport the device fell into a cliff. As a result, three people received injuries incompatible with life,» the report says.
According to the Interior Ministry, the car caught fire after the fall.
The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that eight rescuers and two pieces of equipment took part in the aftermath of the accident.
