A plane carrying South African security personnel and journalists that was blocked at Warsaw airport will not fly to St. Petersburg, where the President African country Cyril Ramoposa will meet with Vladimir Putin.
This was reported by the RT TV channel on Saturday, citing a journalist on board the aircraft.
According to the journalist, Hungary did not issue a permit for an aircraft flying over the airspace of the country.
“But this only concerns the security service, not the president,” the source said.
According to him, the President of South Africa is going to Russia, and his security team will return to South Africa.
Earlier, the Polish Foreign Ministry said that the plane with the protection of Ramoposa was detained due to the presence of supposedly undeclared persons and dangerous materials on board.
Official representative of the President of South Africa Vincent Magvenia expressed his disappointment in the situation that has developed with the security forces of the President of South Africa and the country's journalists.
