Ukrainian Armed Forces will try to seize the Zaporizhzhya NPP for nuclear blackmail

But in the two weeks of the June offensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost, according to some estimates, almost three brigades.
Will Zelensky leave the remaining strategic reserve to break through the Russian defense or are other solutions being worked out at NATO headquarters? As experience shows, if Kyiv is not able to achieve victory on the battlefield, expect a major provocation. Aleksey Leonkov, a leading military analyst and editor of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine, told MK about how events could develop in the NVO zone.
“In fact, we have already “unwound” three out of 12 brigades,” says Leonkov, “and this is 25-30% of the total number of troops prepared for the “offensive”. Our president also spoke about this, and American military experts even confirm this.
— Yes, although we used up a large amount of ammunition and lost almost 200 tanks, 450 armored vehicles. But the fighting continues, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are storming our positions from the side of Kamenka, Vasilyevka, Orekhov … They are carrying out diversionary maneuvers near Avdiivka, Artemivsk, in the Belgorod region, which they are shelling. That is, they are working out the NATO installation completely. But the question is always what is it for?
– No. Everyone understands that the capture of the settlement will in no way affect the course of the special military operation. Let's get them out anyway. Right now, for example, in the area of the settlement of Pyatikhatki, which is in the «gray zone» and where no one lives, there are fights. They try to take this point, we knock out. This is the fifth time this has happened. So what?
Their task is to destroy the land corridor to the Crimea along the coast of the Sea of Azov. To do this, you need to break through all the active layered defenses that we have built. And these are some milestones. Even if we leave the first line, when it becomes critical there, then we occupy the second line, being under the cover of the third. And the enemy who storms our line of defense must understand this.
— Yes. Some Ukrainian units approached us at a distance of 20 kilometers, some — at 15 kilometers, and there were those that approached at 5 kilometers. But keep in mind that there was still work on remote mining of the area. In addition, aviation performs its tasks very well — first of all, Ka-52 helicopters, which ensured excellent «productivity» in the destruction of Western equipment. scolded. In the same Ramstein, for example, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace generally said: everything is fine, everything is going according to plan.
— I think that this happens because the first blows of the Ukrainian «counterattack» were not, as they say, the main ones. When these battles were going on, NATO scouts were constantly hanging in space and air. There were satellites in space. The American strategic reconnaissance drones Global Hawk, the RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft, and the AWACS radar air patrol were operating from the Black Sea. That is, they constantly flew there in neutral waters. Of course, we could not interfere with them, because after all these are neutral waters …
— These reconnaissance assets allowed them to see how our defense system interacts, how command posts and communications work, how interaction with artillery is carried out … That is, they received a certain picture in order to correct the following hostilities are already in the second stage. Massive preparations are underway for it now.
— Stages come in waves. The first was from 3 to 5 June. The second powerful wave continued until June 12, when they stormed positions on different sectors of the front. On the 18th there was another wave in the Zaporozhye direction. Now, as it were, its echoes remain. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are still trying to force something so that we, as they say, do not relax. They understand that we must also rotate personnel, deliver ammunition, and they are trying to prevent us from doing this. All this is accompanied by an increased information attack and diversionary maneuvers in the Belgorod region.
— If we talk about reaching the Sea of Azov, then for this they would need not 12 brigades, but at least twice as many. In the secret offensive plans, which some time ago “leaked” to the Network, it was said about 20 trained brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a more realistic figure, since you need to understand that assaulting positions is one thing, and holding the captured territory to a greater depth is another. Moreover, long-term retention — not a month or two. Perhaps a year. It is clear that for this the Armed Forces of Ukraine must have a lot of strength. But their strength is now seriously limited, since we beat them very well in May, in the same Bakhmut.
— This is fantastic. Such a goal is, as it were, indicated: they say they will do it anyway. But this is hardly achievable in reality.
— There is a third option. He, it seems, as they think in Kyiv, is now the most real for them. And this option is associated with the undermining of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. When the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, recently came there and walked there with a sad look, all of his entourage were busy with their work: almost everyone was filming our fortifications with their equipment. Of course, we took away all this equipment from them, forced them to erase everything. There is no Internet there, and they could not transmit anything. But there is no doubt that this delegation came there precisely in order to take pictures of our defense lines of this station.
— If you look at that map, when there was still a reservoir there, then there were three narrow sections opposite the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This is the Nikopol sector, there were six kilometers between the banks. In the area of Energodar and Marganets, there is also a narrow section of six kilometers. There is also Zolotaya Balka, also with a narrow six-kilometer section. Now let's assume it all dried up. As they say, the Dnieper is no longer there. The soil will dry out and in two weeks it will be able to pass through it, if not caterpillar, but lightly armored wheeled vehicles.
— Many things. They have French AMX-10RC tanks, American Stryker armored personnel carriers, German Marder infantry fighting vehicles, all sorts of army Humvees and so on.
— Yes, but let's remember the Kharkov «offensive» The Armed Forces of Ukraine last fall, when 11 company tactical groups operated. All on wheeled vehicles, moving quickly and shooting at everything that came across on the way. Do you remember the result?..
As for the line of defense created on the Dnieper, it really exists there. But it was formed taking into account a natural obstacle — the reservoir. Then even these narrow six-kilometer sections were quite difficult for the enemy to overcome: the peculiarities of the current, vulnerable boats and boats … A burst of fragmentation shells fired at them — and they went to the bottom. Now, remembering how they attacked, imagine that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will launch an offensive from three directions at the same time, with massive support from all fire weapons. At the same time, they will put pressure on us from Orekhovo and Kamenka so that we bring all our means of destruction there.
And such a breakthrough may well be organized. If they seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, then it will become an object of nuclear blackmail for Kyiv. We are not going to fight off nuclear power plants with the use of missiles, aircraft and artillery. And they know it.
The Europeans will immediately scream: hands off Ukraine! And when the Ukrainians say: we will blow everyone up here now, the same British and Americans will say: yes, they have the right to do so, because they are faced with a strong enemy… And then Ukraine will wring our hands, demanding that we left the conquered cities, regions, Crimea, because otherwise they will arrange a second Chernobyl for the world.
— However, the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant has been featured in all military plans since last year, which, by the way, are formed by the British. Undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is also a British plan. I think that they also developed the operation to capture Energodar and the Zaporozhye nuclear plant. Information about this leaked out. Our task is to prevent such a possibility and once again save Europe from itself.
