MOSCOW, June 25 Every fourth user of online dating services in Russia has found a soul mate there — and 20% of them have already married, analysts of the application for dating beAmore.
“A quarter of users of online dating services have already found their soul mate there, 20% of them are married. At the same time, 25% of users have not yet met anyone, but hope that this will happen. Every fifth respondent constantly finds partners online or friends,» according to a study conducted among more than 3,000 respondents.
Analysts found that 15% of Russians over 18 use dating services. In most cases (57%), the incentive to register in such applications is the recommendations of friends and successful dating stories that users learn from acquaintances or from social networks. At the same time, they trust the application less if they encounter a large number of fake accounts or difficulties in finding suitable partners.
“Online dating is the easiest and most convenient way to find the right person for your request, 32% of respondents are sure. Another 13% think that dating services are suitable for shy people, and 9% believe that the reason for the popularity of online dating is a large selection of interesting people. Every fifth respondent is convinced that it is easier for a modern person to get acquainted online because of the high load, so many simply forgot how to get acquainted offline,» the analysts emphasized.
A third of the respondents said that they do not use dating services only because of lack of time, and one in ten admitted that they would like to try such applications, but are embarrassed to use them. Another 12% of respondents believe that it is better to get acquainted offline. «A quarter of respondents consider communication in dating services more like entertainment, but they do not exclude the possibility of a serious relationship. And 17% of Russians want to find online friends or a company of interest for joint trips to the cinema, to quizzes, sporting events, etc.», — noted in the service.
