The Central Bank of the Russian The federation set the official dollar exchange rate at 85.05 rubles, raising it by 38 kopecks. The euro rose by 84 kopecks, to 93.13 rubles.
The American currency turned out to be more expensive than 85 rubles, and the European currency was more expensive than 93 rubles for the first time since March 2022.
The cost of the dollar and the euro grew in end of February and first half of March 2022. On February 22, the official exchange rate of the American currency was 76 rubles and 76 kopecks, and on March 2 it exceeded 100 rubles for the first time since the 1998 denomination. The euro exchange rate for the first time exceeded the hundred-ruble mark on February 28. On March 11, one euro cost 132 rubles and 95 kopecks, and one dollar cost 120 rubles and 60 kopecks.
Starting from the second half of March 2022, the dollar and the euro became cheaper, until in June the dollar began to cost 51.16 ruble, and the euro — 53.86 rubles. For the dollar, this indicator was the lowest in 2022, and the euro exchange rate fell to 52.73 rubles on September 30.
From March to early June 2023, the dollar exchange rate mainly fluctuated between 75-82 rubles, and the exchange rate euro — at the level of 80-90 rubles.
