The first Russian production of ABS and ESP systems for cars was launched in Kostroma, RIA Novosti reports. Itelma began its own production of anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic stability control systems (ESP) for passenger cars.

To launch the production of ABS and ESP, a new workshop with a fully automated line was built at the plant, conforming to all international standards.
