CHISINAU, July 8 Air Moldova announced on its website that it is extending the cancellation of all flights until July 31 due to financial problems.
Earlier, the civil aviation authority informed that about 30 thousand passengers were affected in Moldova in the spring due to the cancellation of Air Moldova flights. From May 2, flights and ticket sales were suspended, it was expected that flights would resume from June 30.
“All flights have been suspended until July 31 inclusive. Dear passengers, the airline continues to process all incoming requests for refunds for canceled flights. Passengers who purchased tickets online on the official website of the airline will receive a refund on the card upon request who paid for the ticket,» the company's website said in a statement.
The management of Air Moldova thanks the passengers for their understanding and patience.
Air Moldova began to cancel some flights from March 2. Representatives of the carrier explained this by operational and financial problems. In response, the Moldovan civil aviation authority conducted an unscheduled inspection of the airline and ordered it to pay passengers the due compensation for canceled flights. The company applied to the court for permission to restructure in order to attract investors.
