Police officers in Moscow have detained Mikhail Polyakov, administrator of the telegram channel «Kremlin Laundress». This is reported by RBC and the telegram channel «112» with reference to their sources.
According to preliminary information, Polyakov is suspected of extortion (Article 163 of the Criminal Code) from politicians and businessmen. He was detained early in the morning — according to «112», after that he was taken to the main investigation department of the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs for interrogation.
In what status he is being held in a criminal case is not yet known. According to RBC, Polyakov used to work for the FSB. 112 writes that he is also connected to the telegram channels Siloviki and Brief. According to Baza and Narrativa, the detainee also administered the Nezygar channel. At the same time, Siloviki and Brief deny information about Polyakov's involvement in their projects.
The last post in the Kremlin washerwoman channel was published on July 13 at 18:23 Moscow time. Usually, the channel publishes pejorative posts about oppositionists and defendants in political criminal cases, as well as photographs taken during searches. In particular, the Kremlin Laundress posted materials about the anarchist Azat Miftakhov, convicted in the case of a broken window in the United Russia office, as well as about Alexei Navalny and his associates Maria Pevchikh, Leonid Volkov, Vladimir Milov and others.
