
MOSCOW, July 17 Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to organize an operational headquarters for artificial intelligence transformation criteria related to the introduction of AI in the regions, the office of the deputy head of government said in a statement.
Chernyshenko held a working meeting with the heads of digital transformation at the federal (RCT) and regional levels (RRTC). «He instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to organize an operational headquarters for AI. The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the functions of the head of the headquarters to Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maxim Kolesnikov,» the report says.
The meeting also directed the regions to step up efforts to integrate artificial intelligence programs into digital transformation strategies.
«I ask the Ministry of Digital Transformation to include criteria related to the implementation of AI in the regions in the performance rating of leaders of digital transformation. I will keep control of the movement in the ranking under special control. Heads of regions responsible for digital transformation , I ask you to complete the work on the development of strategies for the introduction of AI by September 1,» Chernyshenko said, quoted by his office.
By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, from January 1, 2024, the regions need to create and put into operation state information systems on the Gostech platform. «By the end of the year, the first stage of public services in the field of healthcare, education, transport, sports, and construction will be transferred. These are the services of 24 federal authorities and 8 pilot regions. I thank the entities that have become leaders in this work,» Chernyshenko said.
It is specified that next year the transfer of the second wave of projects to Gostech will begin. Their defenses will take place in the third quarter of 2023. In accordance with the decisions taken by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at the strategic session on the development of the Gostech platform, at least 101 services should work on the platform by 2026.
