
MOSCOW, Jul 18 Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian discussed the Second Four a third-party meeting at the level of foreign ministers with the participation of the Russian Federation, Turkey, Syria and Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported.
«During the conversation, the issue of holding the second meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Iran, Russia, Turkey and Syria» was discussed, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its telegram channel.
The first meeting of the foreign ministers of the four countries was held in Moscow on 10 May. As a result, the ministers ordered to prepare a draft road map for the normalization of relations between Turkey and Syria.
As Russian presidential special envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev said in an interview earlier, Moscow handed over to Ankara and Damascus its draft «road map» to normalize relations between the two sides, noting that the parties can make adjustments.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has previously named the priority topics of the roadmap. Among them — the solution of the problem of restoring control of the Syrian government throughout the country, ensuring the security of the Syrian-Turkish border, eliminating the possibility of cross-border attacks, terrorist infiltration.
