For the construction of German defensive lines, forced labor was used, people were driven out onto the roads and into the fields to clear them.
It is noted that representatives of regional ministries were involved in the court hearings, archival documents and materials were studied, witnesses of these terrible events and representatives of search teams were interrogated.
Thus, one of the acts on Nazi atrocities in the Moscow region testifies that in October 1941 the Germans in the village of Mikulino defeated the buildings of a psychiatric hospital. Defenseless mentally ill patients were driven out of the buildings into the cold in their underwear, gassed and shot. In May 2022, during search operations in the urban district of Lotoshino, a mass grave was discovered in the pits, including the bodies of women and children.
«The total number of victims during the Nazi occupation in the Moscow Region amounted to more than 26 thousand people. During the court hearings, the amount of material damage caused to the Moscow Region by the Nazi invaders was determined, which exceeded 6.4 trillion rubles,» the message adds.
