A four-year-old boy drowned in the pool of the Octopussy water park in Rostov-on-Don. The press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region told the journalists that a criminal case had been opened in this case.
The Investigation Department for the Voroshilovsky District of Rostov-on-Don received a message about the death of a child in a water park on Komarov Boulevard.
A criminal case was initiated under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of life or health safety, if this leads to the careless death of a person.
Investigation management indicated that the child was relaxing in the water park with his family and swimming in the pool. After some time, he was found unconscious in the pool.
Medics called to the scene could not save the child. Currently, investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
