TBILISI, Jul 26 Georgian Cartu Bank and Terabank, along with a number of other banks in Georgia, have suspended work with the sanctioned Russian payment system Unistream, they said in banks.
«Work with Unistream has been suspended, as this monetary system has come under sanctions,» Cartu Bank's hotline said.
An employee of Terabank reported that «when receiving notifications about the introduction of international sanctions against certain systems, Terabank follows the rules, therefore, work with Unistream has been suspended for several days.»
Earlier, three major Georgian banks suspended Unistream services: TBC bank, Bank of Georgia and Liberty bank, as well as microfinance organizations.
