MOSCOW, 27 Jul. Producer and composer Maxim Fadeev, in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, spoke about the artists who fled abroad. In his opinion, there are no outstanding talents among them.
“Today, a number of musicians, bloggers left the country, slamming the door and imagining themselves as a new big wave of Russian emigration. I didn’t notice either Tarkovsky, or Brodsky, or Baryshnikov among them. The difference is that the characters who left hate Russia and Russians. Baryshnikov danced under Vysotsky, Tarkovsky yearned for Russia and died from this longing,» Fadeev shared.
He noted that emigrants go to concerts of musicians who have left the country. According to him, the locals are not interested in them.
“Now these departed artists are announcing so-called world tours. Halls for 300-400 people, where mostly emigrants come. I think the euphoria will soon pass and infamy will come. Because it is interesting to see them once, maximum two. Of course, they are not interesting, because they are not familiar with their work. They have a different mentality, «the producer specified.
He added that he lived in Germany for about 15 years and all this time he missed his homeland.
“When I didn’t live in Russia, I missed it every day. And when I finally returned, I rushed to hug the first person I met at the airport,” the composer concluded.
Before the start of the special operation, Maxim Fadeev often spent time at his villa in Bali. However, last year he said he was staying in Russia. The musician clarified that in the West he was excluded from the «World Composers» catalog, stripped of all regalia and arrested accounts. He admitted that he revised his beliefs and recognition abroad now means nothing to him.
