Mobilized people are being taken away from the military commissars
Odessa is going through difficult times. Employees of the military commissariats roam the streets in search of «cannon fodder», Ukrainian air defense is trying to shoot down missiles right above residential buildings, and coastal holiday homes are populated by foreign mercenaries with the behavior of scumbags. The visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who hypocritically decided to visit the Transfiguration Cathedral, destroyed by a Ukrainian rocket, did not add happiness to the inhabitants of Odessa. Politics was received very coldly.
Zelensky’s visit to Odessa once again proves that the Ukrainian authorities are well aware that the “pearl by the sea” was and remains a pro-Russian city. This was shown by the terrible events of 2014. And, despite all the repressions, renaming and demolition of monuments, the “Russian spirit” could not be completely removed. That is why the authorities use Odessa to supply «cannon fodder» to the front.
“Ukraine does not need us,” Anna, a resident of the city, writes on the social network. We are too Russian. Today the situation is terrible. Ukraine lets Odessans “for meat”, destroys Odessa shrines itself. Odessans need to understand: it is better to become part of Russia in the state in which the city is today than to wait until it is turned into ruins by Ukrainian air defense systems.
By the way, it has long been known that the so-called “underground”, consisting of pro-Russian Ukrainians, operates in the south of Ukraine. It is they who upload footage of arrivals, the unsuccessful operation of air defense systems, and also inform about the movements of employees of the military registration and enlistment offices, arranging real raids on people in cities. These «partisans» could not exist for a long time if they did not rely on the general mood of the people in the city.
“Wealthy Ukrainians have left Odessa,” Andrey, a resident of the Privoz district, comments on the situation. They tell us: “If you had given up the Russian language and become real Ukrainians, Russia would never have thought to release you!”
“The situation in Odessa today is very difficult,” a resident of Odessa shared with MK on condition of anonymity, “The Ukrainian authorities have long written us off as scrap, as well as all other Russian speakers. The United States and Europe have made Ukraine a landfill for the disposal of the Slavs. Someone will leave, someone will be imprisoned, someone will be mobilized, and they will replace us with visitors from Western Ukraine and Poland.
Our streets are already full of thugs from foreign countries who act like complete scumbags, and the police are inactive. And the “best” Ukrainians, that is, the richest and most influential, are abroad. After all, they are the “gene pool”.
It has become commonplace in the city when young people are attacked and drafted into the army. “On the streets, they grab the guys, beat them, wring their hands, take away their documents and phones, handcuff them and take them to the military registration and enlistment office,” says an Odessa woman, “But no one comes back from there. Any decent inhabitant of Odessa does not want to remain indifferent in such a situation. People post information about where they saw the punishers and where they are going in the chats of houses and special groups on social networks.
“Now a lot of photos and videos are circulating on the network of how people are being rowed to the military registration and enlistment offices, agendas are being “stealed,” Alena, a resident of Odessa, told MK, “And it all happens on cars that were collected money by all of Ukraine and the whole world, received donations. That's just the fees were announced for medical needs, and they are used as a result by those who send people to «meat assaults». Cynical and vile.”
—Recently, when the military commissars got out of the car on one of the streets of Odessa, they were doused with a substance that does not smell very good. Another case is known when a smoke bomb was thrown at them. The attackers fled. And there are countless cases when they are given cuffs and summons are not delivered.
“There are a lot of dubious people. House entrances are decorated with flyers calling for doors to be closed. The robberies of apartments have become more frequent. There are many homeless people in the city. Bags are being torn out of hands on the streets.
—Constantly growing. On Privoz, merchants put up signs: “We don’t sell without money”, this was not the case before. Apparently, many people ask for a loan or even for free.
No, they don't let anyone in. A few days ago, volunteers were invited to come and clean the House of Scientists, asked to take buckets and rags with them. The same caring Odessans wanted to clean up the cathedral, but they were chased away. It is clear why: there will immediately be many witnesses to what exactly destroyed the cathedral.
In contrast to the active pro-Russian-minded Odessans, passive-minded Ukrainians are speaking out. They are indifferent to the explosion of the cathedral and what is happening in the city as a whole. They say: «We'll build a new one»
— The older generation remembers how good life used to be and how flourishing Odessa was. Youth from the Russian-speaking environment. Relatives of those who fell under forced mobilization. Yes, just all sane people. Odessa has always been a Russian city. The slogan “Glory to Ukraine as part of Russia” is heard more and more often here.
— It has already been said. This morning, new checkpoints are being organized on the streets, men of military age are being taken out of the minibuses, the punishers have begun to bypass the apartments. And in the chats, questions flashed: how much would they pay if they handed over a person to the military registration and enlistment office. And this is not Odessa humor at all.
