MOSCOW, July 30It is necessary to work out targeted SMS informing Muscovites, as well as tracking drones using city cameras, says State Duma Vice Speaker Vladislav Davankov.
«It is necessary to work out the possibility of targeted SMS informing residents about detected threats. Before the end of the NMD, half of the road and street cameras and two-thirds of the MKAD cameras should be converted and sent to the sky,» he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Such a system, according to Davankov, will allow people to know in advance about the approach of drones and take all necessary measures.
The parliamentarian also clarified that the relevant departments should give recommendations to Muscovites on how to behave in cases of UAV attacks. He added that additional control measures are needed in order to efficiently and timely track the flight path of the drone. According to the vice speaker, Russian technical specialists can find a solution to ensure the security of Russian cities in the event of drone attacks using cameras.
The parliamentarian noted that all measures will be worked out with the State Duma Defense Committee. «Moscow services are working well with the consequences. But now we need to use all the resources to work ahead of the curve,» he concluded.
The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said earlier on Sunday that an attack by Ukrainian drones was carried out at night, the facades of two office towers of the City were slightly damaged, and there were no victims or injured. The Russian Defense Ministry clarified that the Kiev regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack on objects in Moscow with three drones, one drone was shot down by air defense systems, two were suppressed by electronic warfare systems and, having lost control, crashed on the territory of the Moscow-City non-residential building complex.
