
MOSCOW, Aug 2 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on the issue of issuing a Russian passport to the citizen of Kyrgyzstan Askar Kubanychbek, who was convicted in Bishkek for participating in a special operation in Ukraine, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, RT channel reported that Kyrgyz citizen Askar Kubanychbek was sentenced in Bishkek to 10 years in prison for voluntary participation in a special operation.
«Yes, I can say that we have received such an appeal and the issue is being worked out,» Zakharova said at a briefing, answering a relevant question.
