Six thousand Russian citizens, those who have a residence permit in Latvia will receive a letter asking them to leave the country, Sputnik Near Abroad reports.
The Russians in question did not sign up for the Latvian language exam, the report says.
The law, on the basis of which the letters are supposed to be sent, is called for to be revised by many public organizations.
