Deputy Novikov: negotiations in Jeddah on Ukraine can be assessed as brainstorming
Negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, which is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of representatives of 30 countries, can only be assessed as a brainstorming session. This statement was made by Dmitry Novikov, First Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
It is worth noting that Russia was not invited to these negotiations.
“Clearly that any negotiations on the situation around Ukraine without Russia cannot look like an event that is really capable of guaranteeing some kind of agreement,” the parliamentarian said.
On Saturday, August 5, negotiations began in Saudi Arabia regarding the conflict in the territory Ukraine. They will last until August 6.
