In the Pskov region, FSB officers detained a Russian suspected of high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). This is reported by the Pskov Information Agency with reference to the press service of the department.
According to investigators, the man planned to leave Russia in order to then participate in the war on the side of Ukraine. The PAI also published a video of the detainee, in which he says that he wanted to join the “Kraken nationalist battalion.” In the video, the man also said that he was detained by the FSB, adding that “I have no complaints against them.”
The Kraken reconnaissance and sabotage unit was created after the start of a full-scale war with Ukraine in March 2022 . The battalion was named after the mythical giant monster Kraken, which destroyed everyone.
