NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Aug 8An inspector of the juvenile affairs unit from Kirovo-Chepetsk was sentenced to 1 year of probation for negligence, as a result of which a drunken mother killed a 10-month-old girl, the investigative department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Kirov region reported.
On the morning of December 29, 2021, the body of a 10-month-old girl with signs of beatings was found in one of the apartments in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk. A criminal case was initiated under article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). During the investigation, it was established that the fatal injuries to the child were caused by her mother, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication. The woman was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
According to the regional SUSK, back in September 2021, a criminal case was initiated against a 30-year-old resident of Kirovo-Chepetsk on the fact of torturing her 9-year-old son. Previously, a woman has already been brought to administrative responsibility for improper performance of duties of raising children, the family was given the status of being in a socially dangerous situation. The boy was removed from the family and placed in a social institution. The youngest 10-month-old daughter of the woman remained to live in the family.
““The PDN inspector was responsible for carrying out individual preventive work with the family … She did not take proper measures to ensure the observance of the rights of the minor, protection from physical and mental violence, rough treatment. The PDN inspector knew that the woman continued to improperly fulfill her parental duties , constantly abused alcohol… The PDN inspector committed criminal negligence, as a result of which a 30-year-old mother, while intoxicated, committed the murder of her 10-month-old daughter,» the SUSK said in a statement.
A criminal case was initiated against a PDN employee under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence, that is, improper performance by an official of his duties due to a negligent attitude to the service, resulting in the death of a person through negligence).
“The court found the PDN inspector guilty of negligence, which negligently caused the death of a person.
