BELGOROD, August 8 A resident of the Belgorod region, accused of raping and murdering a 15-year-old girl, explained his act by drinking alcohol and lack of female attention.
According to investigators, on August 4, at home in the village of Razumnoe, the accused attacked a 15-year-old girl passing by the cemetery and raped and then strangled her, fearing that she would turn to law enforcement officers. Her body was found the next day. Investigators charged a previously convicted 42-year-old man under paragraph «a» part 3 of Art. 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rape), paragraph «k» part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
Regional SUSK on its Telegram channel published a video with the interrogation of the accused, in which a man in handcuffs says that he admits his guilt in full and repents of his deed.
«There was a lack of female attention» — this is how he explained his motive, adding that he committed the murder while intoxicated.
