ROSTOV-ON-DON, Aug 8 The volume of tax benefits provided to businesses and residents of the Rostov region in 2022 amounted to more than 8.4 billion rubles, said the Deputy Governor — Minister of Finance of the region Lilia Fedotova at a meeting of the regional government.
According to Fedotova, the assessment of tax expenditures was carried out in a comprehensive manner, taking into account the preliminary assessment of indicators for the past year. All tax expenditures were found to be effective.
“In 2022, tax expenditures amounted to 8.41 billion rubles. Compared to the previous year, the volume of tax support increased by more than 1.6 billion rubles. This, of course, contributes to the expansion of the tax base and, as a result, an increase in revenues to the regional budget «, — the words of the minister are quoted in the message of the government of the region.
Thus, stimulating tax expenses — benefits for investors and small businesses — amounted to 7.7 billion rubles, or 91%. Among their recipients are enterprises-investors and small and medium-sized businesses. Also, 138 thousand residents of the region took advantage of transport tax benefits.
Earlier, the results of the assessment of tax expenditures in the Rostov region were considered at a meeting of the Coordinating Council on the collection of taxes and other obligatory payments. The information will be sent to the Russian Ministry of Finance and taken into account when forming the main directions of the budget and tax policy of the Rostov region for 2024-2026.
