In Krasnoyarsk, an employee of the Rosneft-related company RN-Vankor, Elena Gegiya, was fired after anti-war stories on Instagram. The woman told the Siberia.Realii publication about this.
Gegiya worked in the legal department of RN-Vankor. “We entered into an agreement to terminate the employment contract, but in fact it was done at the insistence of the employer,” she told reporters.
On April 21, Gegia posted anti-war stories on Instagram — employees of the economic security department of RN -Vankor. They saw in the stories an “anti-Russian position” and signs of “discrediting” the army, after which they reported the publications to law enforcement agencies.
As a result, an administrative case was opened against Gegia about “discrediting” the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 Code of Administrative Offenses). On July 6, the Soviet District Court of Krasnoyarsk fined her 30,000 rubles. The court twice returned the materials regarding the resident of Krasnoyarsk to the police to eliminate violations. As Sibir.Realii drew attention, the head of the security department of RN-Vankor and his colleagues acted as witnesses in the case.
RN-Vankor is a subsidiary of Rosneft, the project operator Vostok Oil in the Taimyrsky Dolgano-Nenetsky and Turukhansky districts of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In addition to Rosneft, shares in RN-Vankor are owned by British Petroleum International, QH Oil Investments and J.P. Morgan Germany.
