In the Moscow region, the police opened an administrative case against Nikolai Kachnov, an activist from the town of Zhukovsky. He himself told OVD-Info about this.
Kachnov is accused of «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). He was detained this morning, after the protocol was drawn up, the activist was released. Earlier, due to an administrative case, a man was also invited to the police department, but he refused to appear without a corresponding summons, as required by law.
The reason for compiling the protocol was the article “The tragedy of fraternal peoples”, written by Kachnov for an independent newspaper “ Zhukovsky news» in February 2022. Now the material has been removed from the publication's website, its copy is available in the web archive.

The article tells about the full-scale war in Ukraine, in particular, how its beginning influenced the perception of victory in the Great Patriotic War. In the material, Kachnov also wrote that ordinary people would be the first to suffer because of the invasion, and suggested that the war was necessary “for the sake of the lifelong rule of one person.”
In March, the court in Zhukovsky fined the deputy for 30 thousand rubles Ela Znamenskaya, editor-in-chief of Zhukovsky Vesti, was found guilty of “discrediting” the armed forces because of the stream “Your denunciation is very important for us” with a discussion of the war in Ukraine.
