Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey, one of the leading companies in the Turkish automotive sector, will temporarily suspend production from 27 ;production capacity.
Toyota Automotive will be the first in the world to manufacture rechargeable hybrid vehicles and batteries in Sakarya. The new Toyota C-HR model will be the first plug-in hybrid vehicle produced in Turkey, and the facility will be the first rechargeable vehicle plant among Toyota's European operations.
The investment in this project will amount to 317 million euros, and Toyota's total investment in Turkey will reach 2.3 billion euros. The battery production line installed in the factory will reach an annual capacity of 75 000 batteries.
