MOSCOW, Aug 11 The Bank of Russia may start publishing a forecast for the ruble exchange rate in the first half of 2024, deputy chairman of the regulator Alexei Zabotkin said during a press conference on Friday .
«These new initiatives, they will be implemented in the first half of next year. Accordingly, both in terms of expanding the indicators in the forecast, and in terms of other ideas,» he said, answering a question about the plans of the Central Bank to publish ruble exchange rate outlook.
Zabotkin said earlier in May that the regulator would consider publishing a range of expectations for the ruble exchange rate as part of its medium-term outlook if, as part of the current public discussions of the monetary policy review, it comes to the conclusion that this will not create «wrong signals» for the market.
Currently, the Bank of Russia publishes 24 indicators as part of its macroeconomic forecast, including GDP, inflation, average annual key rate and cost of Urals oil, as well as lending indicators. At the same time, the Central Bank traditionally does not provide expectations for the ruble exchange rate. /rubl-1889574733.html» data-title=»The Central Bank did not see the risks of financial stability due to the situation with the ruble»>
