MOSCOW, August 13 11 medical institutions were flooded in Primorye due to flooding, but they continue to work, there are enough medicines, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Health reported.
Last Tuesday Primhydromet announced a storm warning, it was reported that due to Typhoon Hanun and the polar front on August 10-12 in Primorsky Krai, from 50% to 110% of the monthly rainfall could fall. The rains caused severe floods. On Sunday, the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the region reported that seven apartment buildings, 4368 private houses and 5654 household plots in 16 municipalities, as well as 48 sections of roads were flooded in the region. The state of emergency for Friday-Saturday was introduced in nine municipalities of the region. More than 2,000 people were evacuated from the flood zone in the region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Sunday.
«As a result of a flood, 11 healthcare facilities were flooded in Primorsky Krai. Despite the flooding, all medical institutions continue to work as usual and provided with medicines in full. The duty of paramedics in feldsher-obstetric stations has been organized,» the report says.
The provision of medical care to the population in the flood zone is coordinated by the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Russia, the press service specified.
