A businessman from Kazan was charged with extremism because of the words that “Rusnya” are “fucking chauvinists who hate everyone around them”

A criminal case was opened against Ruslan Bayazitov, a businessman from Kazan, because of his words about his hatred of the «Rusnya» and disapproval of the war in Ukraine. This is reported by Kommersant, Tatar-inform and the telegram channel No to Extremism.

Bayazitov is charged with inciting hatred with the threat of violence (clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). As a law enforcement source told Kommersant, the case against the Kazan citizen was opened on Friday, August 11. Tatar-inform and No to Extremism also reported on it on 11 August. On the same day, the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan reported that the police had sent materials to the Investigative Committee to initiate a case of extremism against the man.

On August 7 and 9, Vladislav Pozdnyakov, the leader of the Men's State movement, posted several videos on his telegram channel in which Bayazitov, under the nickname Per Aspera, speaks out against the war in Ukraine in a telegram voice chat and video chat. In the first, he says that he wants Russia to lose and wants Putin to be hanged. In the second, the Kazanian admits that he “considers Russians to be fagots” and “hates this nation.” According to him, “Russians” are “fucking chauvinists who hate everyone around them.” In addition, he says that he “supports killing those behind the CBO«.

Ekaterina Mizulina, the head of the Safe Internet League, reacted to the videos published in Pozdnyakov's group. On August 9, in her Telegram channel, she announced that she had written denunciations against Bayazitov to the UK and the police.

The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan adds that earlier the Kazan citizen was fined 30,000 rubles and arrested for 14 days under protocols on “discrediting” the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and demonstrating prohibited symbols (part 1 of the article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to Business Online, in 2021 they also tried to bring Bayazitov to administrative responsibility for participating in a rally in support of Alexei Navalny, but the court dismissed the case.

According to the site kartoteka.ru, Ruslan Bayazitov is the founder of several companies — Melt, Melt-Internet, Energy Protection, Elkey and Salvador.
