St. Petersburg, 16 Aug. The Directorate of Documentary Broadcasting of the RT TV channel is negotiating with the Fund for Supporting Domestic Cinematography on showing the films of the international documentary film festival «RT.Doc: Time of Heroes» in cinemas, Ekaterina Yakovleva, general producer of the festival, told reporters.
«We are negotiating with the Cinema Fund so that residents of other cities can watch these films in state cinemas. Now this is at the stage of negotiations,» Yakovleva said.
This decision was made due to the high demand for the festival, but the team cannot yet travel to all cities. Therefore, work is now underway to form additional channels for distributing films. Also, all films, except for the premieres, can be viewed for free on the streaming platform arteldoc.tv.
The film festival will be held in St. Petersburg from 18 to 20 August. The organizers included 17 films in the program. Some of them are premieres. In particular, the audience of St. Petersburg will be the first to see the painting «The Treble Clef». It was created by Artur Khodyrev, a graduate of the RT documentary school. The film was edited literally before the festival itself in St. Petersburg. But, as Yakovleva noted, she was sure of the quality of the picture.
“I saw the raw material, I understood what the characters would be like, how it would be filmed. Moreover, Artem graduated from our school, and I am always confident in our graduates. As a result, we got a very, very good picture,” Yakovleva said.
The film «Treble Clef» is included in the «Cultural Front» program. Its main characters are the violinist Marianna Vasilyeva and the poet Alexander Pelevin. The idea to shoot such a picture, combining poetry and music, was finally formed after the death of military commander Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin).
«A week after his death, they were supposed to have their first creative evening, it had been planned for a long time, and the guys from the wheels changed the program and made an evening of memory. Let me remind you that they were the only ones who did it in St. Petersburg … And from the outside it was it is clear how the violin is combined with poetry,» said the film's director Artur Khodyrev.
The premiere screening of «The Treble Clef» will take place on August 19 at 16.40. The International Documentary Film Festival «RT. Doc: Time of Heroes» will be held in St. Petersburg from August 18 to 20 at the Avrora cinema (Nevsky Prospekt, 60, lit. I).
