The Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg sent Daniil Fomin, accused of murdering a black student from Gabon, Francois Ndzhelassili, to a pre-trial detention center in a Burger King cafe. This is reported by the Yekaterinburg edition of It's My City.
As the representative of the investigation clarified to journalists, Fomin is charged with an article on murder (part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code). Previously, it was assumed that a young man could be charged under an article on intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code).
Before the meeting on the choice of a measure of restraint, to the journalist's question «Daniel, do you plead guilty?» Fomin replied: «Yes.» “Daniel, don’t hang your nose,” added the father of the accused. The parents of the Yekaterinburger believe that their son stood up for a friend whose girlfriend was shown attention by a foreign student.
“It was all started by another person, and the son stood up for him. He cannot look calmly when the weak are offended. <…> Why did this black man approach her, stroked her hand, sent her an air kiss. The girl told the guy who was with Danil, Nikolai. Nicholas went to investigate. When Danil lost consciousness from the blow, he woke up, and Francois was sitting on him and hitting him, ”the parents said. In their opinion, “when they cut their own people, there is no such excitement.”
32-year-old Francois Ndzhelassili studied at the postgraduate course of the Ural Federal University, at the department of economics and environmental management. On the night of August 18, the student drove with his friends at Burger King, where, according to eyewitnesses, two men approached Nadlassili with the words “Oh, look, Negro, let's give him a chirkan”, and then in a fight hit him with a knife in the armpit. As a result, the man died.
