ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 22, Yulia Nasulina. The forest fire area in the Orlovsky district of the Rostov region increased overnight from 20 to 190 hectares as of Tuesday morning, said a spokesman for the region's Ministry of Natural Resources.
A fire in the Zimovnikovsky forestry in the Orlovsky district was recorded on Monday evening. Then the fire area was 20 hectares. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that there was no threat to settlements.
«As of 6.00, the area (of the fire) is 190 hectares,» he said.
More than 160 people and more than 50 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The forces of forestry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the DPHS, the municipality are involved.
