The Presnensky District Court of Moscow received the materials of the administrative case against the general director of Dozhd and the founder of the TV channel, Natalia Sindeeva, drew the attention of Mediazona.

The journalist is accused of distributing materials without marking a «foreign agent» (part 4 article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court registered her case on August 22, the meeting has not yet been scheduled.

Sindeeva was included in the register of «foreign agents» on October 28, 2022. Together with her, political scientist Taras Berezovets, journalists Ekaterina Kotrikadze, Vladimir Romensky and Ivan Yakovina, as well as the Bookmate company, its CEO Andrey Baev and the head of the marketing department of the book service and the director of Individuum and Popcorn books publishing houses Alexei Dokuchaev were on the list.

< p> In July 2023, the Prosecutor General's Office recognized the legal entity of the Dozhd TV channel in Latvia and the Netherlands as «undesirable organizations». According to the department, the legal entity was created by «foreign journalist N. Sindeeva, who has Russian citizenship.» “These organizations discredit the state authorities of the Russian Federation, law enforcement agencies, disseminate false information about a special military operation, provide support to organizations and individuals included in the register of foreign agents, and also participate in the dissemination of materials from organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation ”, — stated in the press release of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
