The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan arrested local activist Zulfiya Sitdikova for eight days under the article on organizing an uncoordinated action (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by the telegram channel BIRDS.
Yesterday, security forces detained Sitdikova at the exit from the house. They opened an administrative case against the activist and then left her overnight at the police station. What was the reason for drawing up the protocol is not yet clear. A lawyer was not immediately allowed into the department to see the detainee.
In July, it became known that a criminal case had been opened against Sitdikova for “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). According to the Respublikasy telegram channel, two episodes appear in the materials. It is not known what preventive measure was assigned to the activist.
In September, May and July, the security forces carried out searches at Sitdikova's house. For the first time, investigative actions took place in the case of justifying terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code), which was connected with the publication of the video “Paint and booth for the Russian ambassador to Poland” on the YouTube channel “Objective-TV”. The video is dedicated to the attack on Ambassador Sergei Andreev, who was doused with red paint on May 9 during a ceremony at the Soviet military cemetery in Warsaw. The second time the searches were carried out in the case of “discrediting” the army against activist Pavel Chumakov, and then in a similar case against Sitdikova herself.
In July 2022, the activist was fined 40 thousand rubles in the administrative case of “discrediting” the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because she came to the concert of Oleg Gazmanov in a jacket no war.
