MOSCOW, August 30 Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak did not rule out the extension of the voluntary reduction in oil exports from Russia to October, noting that work on this issue is being carried out together with colleagues from other countries.
Responding to a question from journalists about whether the voluntary cuts would continue into October, Novak said: «We'll see. We are now monitoring this situation, evaluating the market, and working together with our colleagues from other countries on an ongoing basis. Now I can't announce some decisions, but we will proceed from what the market will demand.»
Russia previously announced that it would voluntarily cut oil exports by 0.5 million barrels per day in August, in addition to cutting production under OPEC+. It was later decided to extend the cut to September, but only by 300,000 bpd.
