KRASNOYARSK, Aug 30 In remote areas of Krasnoyarsk Krasnoyarsk Territory, early voting began in the elections for the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, according to the telegram channel of the regional election commission.
«Early voting in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the region. Residents of the Far North leading a traditional way of life — fishermen, hunters, reindeer herders — are the first to vote in the elections for the governor of the region,» the report says.
The regional election committee added that members of precinct election commissions in Taimyr get to the places of organization of voting by all-terrain vehicles, boats and helicopters, weather permitting. The regional election commission reported that voting in such territories will last until September 7.
Earlier it was reported that early voting in the September elections will also begin in new regions of Russia on August 30th. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a regional governor will be elected on a single voting day. Five people are running for the post, including acting acting governor Mikhail Kotyukov.
