YEKATERINBURG, Aug 31 The construction of the first special economic zone in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug has begun in Nyagan, agreements with residents have already been concluded with a total investment of more than 24 billion rubles, according to the Yugra Development Fund.
«»On the site of the SEZ, work is underway on the first stage of the construction of the SEZ, including: breakdown of the axes of the designed streets, removal of the axes to nature along the contours, clearing the right of way from trees and shrubs, peat removal of the territory with the replacement of peat with mineral soil, removal of soil and vegetable soil» , the message says.
The total area of the SEZ is more than 270 hectares, it is possible to expand the involved areas up to a thousand hectares. The site plans to introduce major import-substituting initiatives, implement projects to ensure Russia's digital sovereignty, and develop new oil production technologies.
According to the Fund, agreements of intent have already been signed with five residents on the implementation of projects in the production of feed microbial protein for agricultural needs, polymer pipes, furniture, as well as initiatives to create a house-building plant and a data processing center. The total investment is more than 24 billion rubles.
It is planned to launch a special economic zone of the industrial-production type «Nyagan» by 2025. By 2032, it is predicted that anchor residents will create 737 jobs and attract about 7.6 billion rubles of tax revenues to the budget system of the Russian Federation.
