NIZHNY NOVGOROD, September 1 The Expert Council of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) «Kulibin» approved five projects for potential residents worth 7 billion rubles, the press service reports government of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The Kulibin industrial production SEZ was established in May 2020 on the territory of Dzerzhinsk. In March 2023, the area of the Kulibin SEZ was increased from 72 to 724 hectares.

Following the meeting of the expert council, it was determined that the new residents of the SEZ «Kulibin» will be the companies «Agro-Pest», «Integrated Plant of Specialized Products», «NPO «Red October», «First Plant». Another project (TPK «Eurostal» ) was reconsidered due to changes in parameters and an increase in investment.

The Agro-Pest company will establish the production of insecticides and agrochemicals on the territory of the SEZ. The volume of investments in the project will amount to 1.6 billion rubles. The Complex Plant of Specialized Products (KZSP) will produce polyethylene pipes for gas and water supply. The volume of investments in the project will amount to 1.3 billion rubles. The NPO Krasny Oktyabr project provides for the production of carbide rods and the manufacture of axial carbide tools (milling cutters, drills, reamers, cutting inserts, countersinks). The volume of investments in the project will amount to 3 billion rubles. will specialize in the manufacture of building metal structures. The volume of investments in the project will be 705 million rubles. TPK «Eurostal» plans to create a production and warehouse complex for metal processing. The volume of investments in the project will be 486 million rubles.
Head of the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Igor Ishchenko noted that the region has big plans for the development of the Kulibin SEZ.Now there are already 17 projects in the SEZ, 14 more projects are in the process of preparing documents for consideration of their applications for residency.
