At the BRICS summit, South Africa proposed to create an office for cooperation between the countries of the community

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Sep 2 President of the Supreme National Union of Cooperatives of South Africa Lawrence Bale proposed to organize an office of cooperation of the BRICS countries, speaking at the International Forum «Cooperation: Time, traditions, people», which takes place in Nizhny Novgorod.
The forum is held by the Centrosoyuz of the Russian Federation together with the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
«Meetings of leaders are good. But I would also like to organize an office that would work continuously and manage the cooperation of the BRICS countries,» Bale said at the plenary session of the forum.

He noted that he participates in the forum not only as the president of the National Supreme Union of South African Cooperatives, but also as the head of the group of leaders of the BRICS cooperatives. «In both my positions and incarnations, I would like to thank the Russians for their enormous role in the process of liberating their homeland — South Africa. We remember this,» Bale said.

He noted that if all countries live and act in the spirit of cooperation and cooperation, then «prosperity will come, there will be enough food and those things that are necessary for people's lives.» It is in this spirit, said Bale, that the member countries of the BRICS organization operate — they successfully trade and exchange what they most need, including raw materials.
“One of the most important principles (of cooperation), which must always be implemented in practice, is the principle of the exchange of products and the most necessary mineral resources … I want to call on everyone to strengthen the mutually beneficial exchange of what our countries most need. We, for example, need grain. Grain is very expensive in South Africa. We really need bread. Please teach us your technologies for highly efficient wheat production… We ask you to continue the same policy that your country pursued during the years of apartheid. We ask for your continued support,» Bale said.
He noted that, in turn, South Africa also has something to share — the country is rich in coal and diamonds.
«So let's organize and improve existing cooperation. We propose to sign a memorandum of understanding in this area,» he concluded his speech.
