PYATIGORSK, Sep 6 Rospotrebnadzor for Karachay-Cherkessia registered 31 cases of acute intestinal infection in the Ust-Dzhegutinsky district, among them 27 children were also infected , according to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor in the region.
According to the department, information about cases of AEI in the district was received on September 5.
«»As of 12.00 on September 6, 2023, emergency notifications were received about 31 cases of acute intestinal infection, including among them 27 — persons under 17. All the victims are hospitalized or receive medical care on an outpatient basis. Their condition does not cause concern,» the ministry said.
It is noted that Rospotrebnadzor took water samples for testing.
«During the epidemiological investigation, samples of tap water, river water, biological material from the victims were taken. Possible sources of infection and ways of transmitting the disease are being clarified,» the agency adds.
