MOSCOW, September 8 Attempts to force Chinese citizens reporting to Ukraine about movements is tactless and does not benefit Kiev, the press service of the Rossiya Segodnya media group said.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Friday that it was waiting for clarification from Beijing due to the visit of Chinese bloggers and opera singer Wang Fang to the Donetsk People's Republic. The trip was organized by the Ukraina.ru publication, part of the Rossiya Segodnya media holding.
“We consider attempts to force Chinese citizens to report to Ukraine about their movements to be at least tactless,” the press service said.
The media group added that people in Kyiv must understand that rude and unkind statements cannot but affect what bloggers from China will tell their audience upon returning home.
““And during their trip to peaceful cities destroyed by Ukrainian shelling, they accumulated enough material. It is not in Kiev’s interests to spoil the impression of itself even more,” the press service of the media group emphasized.
