VORONEZH, September 8 The number of minors who were poisoned by shawarma in Lgov, Kursk region, including deaths, increased to eight people, reported the regional Ministry of Health.
«According to the latest data, the total number of victims of poisoning remains unchanged — 22 people sought help. Among them, as we have already reported, four people were hospitalized, the rest are being treated on an outpatient basis. Among them are eight children and teenagers,» the report says.
Mass shawarma poisoning occurred in Lgov, Kursk region. On the night of September 7, several patients went to the emergency room with signs of acute intestinal infection. One of the poisoned people, a 23-year-old girl, died from infectious-toxic shock. The SUSK in the region opened a criminal case under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “production, storage, sale of goods and products that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person through negligence.” The operation of the outlet was suspended.
